Mauricio Stefanel
From Colombia

Meet Mauricio

Previously at Mastercard Advisors

I spent years in consulting and fintech across Latin America, working on pricing strategy, analytics, and customer lifecycle projects at Mastercard Advisors and a couple of boutique firms. I wanted to keep doing that caliber of work without the travel and last-minute staffing changes.

Since joining Gratia, I've shipped client-facing deliverables for a Fortune 500 PE firm and a global tech company. Week to week, I build KPI reporting and performance deep dives in Excel and Google Sheets, write decision memos in Notion that leaders actually act on, and improve models and dashboards through structured feedback cycles. The work is real, the expectations are clear, and I have more control over how I spend my time than I ever did in traditional consulting.

Interview process

1

Core skill assessment

Three short multiple-choice tests (30 minutes total) covering communication, business judgment, and problem solving.

2

Project simulation

A practical case study (2-4 hours) based on a real client scenario. You'll get a brief and a dataset, and submit deliverables within one week.

3

Final interview

A live conversation to walk through your Project simulation, talk about what kind of work excites you, and ask us anything. You'll also get detailed feedback on how you did.

We’re looking for applicants who

  • Have shipped decision-ready analysis before: reporting, deep dives, research, or forecasting
  • Can turn ambiguity into a clear plan: question, approach, assumptions, recommendation
  • Communicate clearly in writing and can defend their reasoning in short memos and async updates
  • Have strong spreadsheet skills: clean structure, checks, readable outputs
  • Are fluent in English (you will write and collaborate in English)
